ANCIENT EGYPTIAN INSPIRED JEWELLERY
Ethical & Responsible Materials
We prioritise sustainability by using recycled materials whenever possible and working exclusively with responsible suppliers.
Recycled Silver & Gold: We use recycled silver and gold where possible and only work with suppliers that commit to responsible sourcing practices.
Responsible Jewellery Council: Some of our manufacturers hold Responsible Jewellery Council certification, which means they adhere to strict ethical, social, and environmental standards.
Recycled Gemstones: As we expand our collections, we are committed to using recycled or responsibly sourced gemstones whenever possible.
Small Scale, Artisan Production
Each Morgan & Äya piece is designed in Amsterdam with a focus on uniqueness and timelessness. We don’t follow trends—we create jewellery that lasts.
Our collections are handcrafted in Jaipur, India, in small, family-run workshops. These skilled artisans use traditional jewellery-making techniques such as:
✔ Wax modelling
✔ Hand-painted enamel work
✔ Gold vermeil plating
✔ Hand-sanding & polishing
We’ve personally toured these workshops to ensure safe working conditions and fair treatment of employees. Many of our manufacturing partners are RJC-certified, meaning they undergo rigorous ethical assessments. Additionally, from time to time, we provide bonus wages to artisans as a thank-you for their craftsmanship and dedication.
Eco-Friendly Packaging
We work with Westpack Packaging, a Denmark-based company committed to sustainability.
✔ All Morgan & Äya packaging (tissue paper, shipping boxes, and jewellery drawers) is made in Denmark.
✔ FSC®-certified materials (FSC Mix 70%): This means the materials come from responsibly managed forests where no more trees are cut down than can be naturally regenerated. It also ensures the protection of wildlife and fair wages for workers. (FSC license number: FSC® C112509).
✔ Biodegradable and recyclable materials are used wherever possible.
Slow Fashion & Mindful Consumerism
Morgan & Äya follows slow fashion principles—we release limited collections per year and keep restocks minimal. Usually once a design sells out, it’s gone. We believe in less consumerism, more longevity, and we design our jewellery to be cherished for years, not just seasons.
This approach:
✔ Encourages thoughtful purchasing
✔ Reduces overproduction & waste
✔ Ensures each design remains special and unique
